In Amphion-Les-Bains, you will discover several wrecks between 15 and 25 meters deep. The landmarks are worthy of a poem by Prévert with successively a mermaid, a crayfish tree, and an eagle. This one is said to come from a house formerly occupied by the Nazis. In Tougues, you dive at 30 meters on the wreck of a plane, the Piper Cherokee with a 10-meter wingspan, and 8.40 meters long.
Saint Disdille is a famous diving area, accessible from Thonon-Les-Bains. Boat wrecks are scattered everywhere. You will do a real underwater orientation course between 20 and 40 meters deep! You arrive in a place laid out like a garden with little dwarves and benches. A tree also appears there, completely fossilized. This diving spot is full of fish, with perches and pikes.
Nearby, explore La Faille aux Ecrevisses (Crayfish Fault) characterized by a drop-off of 6 to 20 meters. As its name suggests, an incredible concentration of crayfish can be observed on this spot! To the east of Ile de la Harpe, discover with astonishment the remains of a Lake City with bits of wood sticking out of the ground, which are the remains of houses on stilts.
Corzent is a plateau covered by a herbarium, on a sandy bottom at a depth of 5 meters. It is more of an ambiance dive, with nice pictures to take. Meillerie is a drop off from the surface to 15 meters deep, with the presence of a statue of the Virgin. Then, following deeper boulders, you reach a depth of 35 meters. Finally, don't hesitate to get into the water at Yvoire to look for an old boat at a depth of 27 meters.

Visiting very pleasant cities such as Thonon-Les-Bains, Evian-Les-Bains, Lausanne, Geneva is a must. Evian-Les-Bains is located in the foothills of the Préalpes du Chablais. The Aquaventure diving center is located in Sant Disdille, in Thonon-Les-Bains on the shores of Lake Geneva. During the winter, Aquaventure offers ice diving at Lake Montriond, at an altitude of 1064 meters, which is the third-largest lake in Haute Savoie, after Lake Geneva and Lake Annecy. The lake is 1320 m long and 235 m wide, and 19 m deep!
Every winter, a layer of ice varying from 60 cm to 1 m covers the whole lake of Montriond on more than 10 hectares. This majestic site, overhung by a cliff of a few hundred meters and bordered by a snowy track of more than 3 km, is filled with calm. Embark on a new experience in the middle of a sumptuous landscape of mountains and forests in a wild setting.
On-site, the Aquaventure training center allows you to access the facilities where you can equip yourself in comfort with separate heated changing rooms for men and women, toilets, and hot showers. Aquaventure club provides you with the necessary equipment with waterproof suits equipped with waterproof gloves and anti-ice regulators. The Leman Aquaventure diving centre is located in the St Disdille campsite, on the shores of Lake Geneva, in Thonon-Les-Bains, Haute-Savoie. Diving trips are planned by appointment only, usually at 9 am and 2 pm. You benefit from spacious facilities with a classroom, a video projector, a whiteboard, and WIFI, which allows you to give theoretical lessons in good conditions. The place is very comfortable with hot showers and toilets as well as a reception area where you are briefed. A storage room allows you to store your personal diving equipment. A small coffee corner offers the opportunity to chat with other divers before and after the dive!
The rental equipment, which includes about twenty dry suits very well suited to lake diving, is regularly renewed. Specific equipment is reserved for children. From the age of 8, they can take FFESSM Bronze Diver, Silver Diver and Gold Diver courses. The must in winter is to go ice diving at Lake Montriond... and even do night ice diving! The Leman Aquaventure training centre organises courses in many PADI specialities including Ice Diver.
However, you can choose to stay in Lake Geneva and become a Wreck Diver or do Underwater Orientation. Ideal for underwater biology courses, the underwater fauna of Lake Geneva is varied with perch, pike, roach, blennies, tench, gudgeon and grayling. Become an underwater photographer by following the PADI speciality to bring back beautiful memories of your lake dives. The filling station is state of the art with the possibility to dive with Nitrox and Trimix or even learn to use a rebreather.
