In Isla Mujeres off Cancun, large gatherings of whale sharks take place every year from June to September, and sailfish from January to March. This winter period marks the appearance of rich sea currents that attract sardines, which in turn fall prey to sailfish. It's the mini Sardine run of Mexico!Blue whales pass from January to April, grey whales from February to March, humpback whales from January to March, pilot whales from June to July. Hammerhead sharks are also found from mid-May to late June and mid-October to late December, as well as manta rays from June to mid-September.

Scuba diving training and discover scuba diving courses are offered by the many dive centers in Playa Del Carmen. You also visit the island of Cozumel, which is a marine reserve with large drop-offs that we explore by drift diving. Beautiful dives in the Cenotes of Yucatan, in the middle of the tropical forest, allow you to admire caves and submerged underground networks looking like an underwater cathedral.

From Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and La Paz, you can also access the Cabo Pulmo National Park where there is beautiful biodiversity. You can dive there all year round to observe the school of thousands of jacks that forms a gigantic wall, the bull sharks on the wreck of the Vencedor. From October to March, Mobula rays flow into the bays of La Paz, Cabo San Lucas and in January in Cabo Pulmo. Finally, whale sharks are present from October to March, where they are found in the Bay of La Paz due to the influx of plankton.
