Dive Zihua is located on Calle Pedro Ascencio #7, behind several houses, near the beach, in front of the basketball court, in downtown Zihuatanejo, Mexico. This PADI dive center is managed by the Canadian Maude Jetté, who is passionate about diving and very invested in the protection of the environment.
The philosophy of this center is to provide fun and safety to divers, while also taking into account the environment. Explore diving or snorkeling, or take certifications whether you are a beginner or more experienced. Sessions are also organized to become a divemaster, a diving professional. Diving equipment is available for rent if you didn't bring your own.
Meet at 9 am to return before lunch, between 12 and 1 pm. The Panga boat embarks 18 people to one of the 30 dive sites in Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa. After the first dive, you return to the boat for a tank change. You respect the surface interval by sipping a fruit juice while the staff prepares your equipment. Then you make your second dive.
In Zihuatanejo, discover healthy coral reefs, colonized by the small fauna of octopus, seahorses, moray eels, turtles, nudibranchs. You will even observe the passage of pelagics such as eagle rays and manta rays, whale sharks, dolphins, and whales. Diving in the Pacific Ocean is a very different experience than in the Caribbean Sea, you benefit from less clarity but you gain a lot of life and the possibility to make beautiful encounters!
