The Amigos Del Mar dive center is located in the heart of San Pedro. on the island of Ambergris Caye, Belize. SSI and PADI courses at Amigos Del Mar range from Discover Scuba Diving to Advanced Open Water. Amigos Del Mar's diving specialty is snorkeling and diving trips departing from the world's 2nd largest barrier reef, every day at 9 a.m., with a minimum of 2 participants. As it's only a 10-minute boat ride, you return to Amigos Del Mar to spend the 1-hour surface interval at the dive center, enjoying a snack of fresh fruit, water, coffee and tea. The 2nd dive takes place at 11 am. Return around 12.15pm. A 3rd dive is possible at 1:30 pm. Amigos Del Mar's strength lies in organizing a daily outing with 3 dives and snorkeling on Blue Hole, Half Moon Caye and Long Caye Wall (the Aquarium). The boat trip takes 2 hours 30 minutes, with a 5:15 a.m. departure and a 5:30 p.m. return. You'll need to have done some local rehabilitation diving beforehand.
