The pagoda has a silvery body with pink highlights and a black spot on the base of the pectoral fins. Its size varies from 15 to 40 cm.
The pagoda evolves on sandy, rocky bottoms and along the drop-offs up to 250 m deep. The juveniles stay in shallow depths, in the meadows, to escape their predators. Older adults remain in deeper water.
Solitary, the pagre is rarely observed by divers. Adults are caught by trawls.

Food
Adults remain in deeper waters. They feed on crustaceans such as shrimp, crab, bivalve, and cephalopods. It has a powerful jaw that crushes shells.
Breeding
Common seabream is a female at birth and later becomes a male. It attains sexual maturity around the age of three when it reaches a length of around 24 cm. The eggs migrate with the current. The juveniles come close to the coastline and fall to the seabed, in fields of seagrass.

The dormitories have been replaced by very pretty, comfortable, and stylish rooms for two, four, and six people. Groups of up to 15 people can also be accommodated. Experienced divers have access to comfortable changing rooms with showers, an equipment drying room, an equipment store, and a nitrox and trimix inflation room. You can also store your diving equipment on-site. At 8.30 am, you will be equipped on-site and then transferred by minibus to the car park near the INPP. At 9 am you'll board Massilia Plongée's large semi-rigid boat for a trip to Marseille's most beautiful dive sites. The Massilia Plongée school specializes in scuba diving and IANTD technical outings and training. Independent divers, self-guided groups, and tek and rebreather divers can all find something to suit them here at Massilia Plongée, with their own equipment and breathing block, at very reasonable prices.
The Massilia Plongée club is an ideal place for experienced divers who want to specialize in technical diving too (re)discover Marseille's seabed with serenity and pleasure. Cetacean Watching Lda is located in Madalena, on Pico Island, Azores. It is located 20 m from the boats, in the center of the marina. Open from March to October, Cetacean Watching Lda offers changing rooms, equipment storage, a classroom, showers, and toilets. Equipment rental is available. Cetacean Watching Lda organizes a package for you to stay with or without diving to see dolphins and/or whales, including 7 nights in a double room in Bed&Breakfast, 3 Whale Watching trips, 1 guided land tour to the lookout, 1 guided tour to Malcolm Clarke's Sperm whale and Squids' Museum and transfers to the airport It is best to stay 7 nights in Pico.
Embark from early June to mid-July, on semi-rigid boats from 8 to 24 pax, to observe the sociable behavior of sperm whales and swim with dolphins. The aluminum boat of Cetacean Watching Lda is used for scuba diving. About 20 species of cetaceans pass through Pico, in the center of the Azores, with a 97% success rate in observing them.
In July and August, the sea trip lasts 3 hours, and includes 2 to 3 snorkeling dives. You swim with bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins, common dolphins, Risso's dolphins, striped dolphins. From July to mid-October, trips are organized, depending on the weather, to Princess Alice with a departure at 7 am for a 2h30 trip. This shoal rising from 1,000 meters to 35 meters below the surface, 45 nautical miles from Pico, allows beautiful encounters with Mobula tarapacana, Manta birostris, tunas, barracudas, and sharks. Due to strong currents, you descend along a line. Snorkeling is possible because the rays come up to the surface! [+]

Ecole de plongée d’Ile Rousse

The EPIR diving center is located in the fishing port of Ile Rousse, in the Balagne region of northern Corsica. Open from March to November, EPIR has a parking lot near its premises, to unload your equipment. On-site, state-qualified instructors who are also PADI instructors will welcome you and guide you in your choice of training. The EPIR diving school offers FFESSM and PADI training courses from the first dive to level 4, dive guide.
The EPIR training center also organizes 2 weeks in a hyperbaric environment for professionals, in Scuba Class 1B or Class 2B, with a package of accommodation, catering, and courses. EPIR promotes PADI E-Learning to validate the theoretical part of the preparation for a diving level. With this method, you do your theoretical courses at home and then you do your dives at Ile Rousse during your vacations. This is a way to enjoy your stay without the theory courses on site.
Embark on the EPIR boat to go to the most beautiful dive sites of Calvi when the weather conditions allow you to go west, as well as to the dive spots of Ile Rousse, nearby. EPIR can offer you diving packages for couples, families, and groups. For non-divers, the beach of Ile Rousse is located at 100 meters from the premises. Boat, sailboat and speedboat rentals, windsurfing, and jet ski rentals are available. Otherwise, take a nice walk to the market of Ile Rousse accessible in 10 minutes by foot. [+]

The Glups Diving centre is located in Cambrils, on Cavet beach, facing the sea and the beach, next to the quay where the boat stands. Open Tuesday to Thursday from 10am to 8.30pm and Friday and Saturday from 10am to 1pm and from 5pm to 8.30pm. You can unload equipment with the car directly on the quay. At Glups Diving you'll find changing rooms, a classroom equipped with the latest technology so you can give all your lessons, full equipment for hire, a shop where you can buy additional equipment, and a reception area for formalities. The instructors at Glups Diving offer PADI courses, from beginner to divemaster, as well as nitrox dives and technical courses. Come aboard the 12-seater QUER DIVE 24' rigid boat, fitted out for diver comfort with bottle holders and fin attachments, canopies and seats.
To get to the dive sites by boat, allow 5 to 30 minutes from the port. What else does Glups Diving offer? We sell equipment on site, but we also offer the after-sales service that goes with it, with expert technical maintenance in line with the manufacturer's instructions. You can also take out diving insurance on site, book a trip to the other side of the world and take part in locally organised events. Some of our staff excel in professional diving.
