Titan triggerfish
Swimming, Snorkeling and Diving to See and Observe the Titan triggerfish
The Titan triggerfish is large and imposes itself by its warlike side. Beware if you see him at certain times, lying on his side on the ground: when you approach him, he will suddenly stand up and run at you!
CHECK SEASONALITY
Balistoides viridescens
Macro
Balistoides viridescens, Baliste Olivâtre, Baliste à tête jaune, Baliste titan, Baliste à moustache, Titan triggerfish, Giant triggerfish
Food
The Titan triggerfish is a great hunter who scours the sand to find his prey and breaks their shells because his teeth are so prominent and massive. It is full of mollusks, starfish, crabs, and shrimps and it recovers the microalgae found on the shells.
Breeding
The Titan triggerfish builds the nest in which the female lays her eggs and then protects them with vigor. He attacks all those who come within his reach and bites them violently. The teeth mark can even be seen through a suit. The larvae swarm over large distances and then return to the ground to grow.
