Red Sea Diving Safari Wadi Lahami is located in the south, 393 km from Hurghada Airport and 180 km from Marsa Alam Airport, Egypt, on the shores of the Red Sea. This dive resort is off the beaten track. It is the ideal place when you are looking for tranquility close to nature. Simple but functional tents and comfortable bungalows provide accommodation on site. Meals are served in a cafeteria. The desert landscape is interspersed with some mangroves in the north of the village and herds of camels. There are many waders, including the white heron and sometimes the spoonbill, as well as seabirds such as gulls, white-cheeked terns and Caspian terns that live and nest here. The Aquarius center is located at the Marriott Beach Resort in Hurghada. The premises, open all year round, are located on the access road to the hotel marina, in front of the beach. The dive boats are moored 50 m from the premises which consist of an air-conditioned classroom and a dive store. A swimming pool is available for training on-site. The team of instructors and guides speaks several languages. You have the choice of your diving course in the middle of a wide range of training and PADI specialties that are proposed to you here. Day and boat trips include 2 dives per day. You have access to all the dive sites of Hurghada, including those located around the Giftun Islands. The first lessons are very reassuring because they take place in the resort’ s swimming-pool. Koh Tao is the ideal destination for a first dive trip, as it is the world capital of Open Water diver course. Red Sea Diving Safari Marsa Shagra Village is a 3-hour drive from Hurghada (253 km) and 30 minutes from Marsa Alam (40 km). This place is ideal because of its Housereef, 2 km long, made up of North and South reefs which join to form a natural bay with a sandy slope going down from 1 to 10 m first, then continuing to the outer drop-offs, at 40m deep. To dive there, you can take an unlimited diving package each, with your buddy. You first do two guided orientation dives on arrival, then you dive without a guide, within the limits of your prerogatives and according to the package you have chosen. The administrative office is open from 8 am to 5 pm but it is possible to dive from 6 am to 8 pm. Zodiacs moored at the jetty can be used to explore the outer dive sites (at an extra charge). An air-conditioned classroom with a flat-screen TV is available for training, unless you choose the PADI eLearning course solution, allowing you to enjoy your diving holidays more! Bring thick-soled slippers with adjustable fins to go diving from the shore, otherwise, you'll have to rent them on site! From here, we leave early morning to Elphinstone in a fast semi-rigid boat. We leave for the reefs of Satayah from the port of Hamata (navigation 2 hours) or by speed boat from Wadi Lahami (navigation 45 minutes). You can also reach Shaab Samadai, a marine park where you can swim with dolphins in the wild, in 30 minutes by car and then in 20 minutes by zodiac. A hyperbaric center is located on-site within the village of Marsa Shagra. Each diver must pay the mandatory insurance of 7 euros for the duration of the stay (does not cover hospitalization or transportation).
