Koh Tao is the ideal destination for a first dive trip, as it is the world capital of Open Water diver course. Based on the island of Lombok, a 30-minute flight from Bali and served by daily ferry shuttles, DSM Dive is located in Gili Trawangan, a small island between Bali and Lombok, well known to backpackers, in a young and relaxed atmosphere. DSM Dive is also present in Lombok, an island east of Bali, connected by a daily shuttle service. Lombok is Bali of 10 years ago, still little touched by mass tourism, with beautiful landscapes and a very calm and peaceful atmosphere. This French-speaking PADI and FFESSM centre allows you to dive around Gili Trawangan Gili Meno, Gili Air with about fifteen drift, deep or coral reef dive sites. In Lombok, the centre's driver will pick you up at the hotel between 8:20 and 8:45 am, in an air-conditioned van to take you north to Teluk Kodek harbour. You board a boat to Gili Trawangan. You will be back at the hotel around 16:00 to 17:00 depending on where the hotel is located. You can also stay on Gili Trawangan. The centre is located on the waterfront 200m north of the harbour, heading north on the main road. Here you can take your courses from Open Water to Divemaster level either in class or in the pool behind the centre. The first dive departs at 10am, however certified divers have to meet at the centre at 9.25am for the pre-dive briefing. There may also be a dive scheduled at 11.30am with an appointment at 11am. In the afternoon there is a sea departure at 2pm, with an appointment at the centre at 1.25pm. At your request a night dive can take place at 6pm. [+]

French Kiss Divers is located in Sairee Village, Chalok and Mae Haad, Koh Tao, Thailand. The main dive base is located at Mae Haad Harbour, just off the pontoon of the Songserm Ferry Company. Open from 8 am to 7 pm. There is also a café, bar and restaurant, "O' Rendez-Vous". It is from this "HQ" that all departures are prepared to dive. The centre of Chalok Bay is located in the quietest part of the island. The meeting is at the nice bar "Le French Corner", where divers gather in the evening to share the good moments of the day over a cold local beer or a cocktail. It is possible to do FFESSM and SSI scuba diving training at all levels, from the first dive to instructor training as well as daily exploratory dives on the best sites on the island including the famous Sail Rock site. The supervision is made by an entirely French-speaking, dynamic and experienced teaching team within a human-sized club. Red Sea Diving Safari Marsa Shagra Village is a 3-hour drive from Hurghada (253 km) and 30 minutes from Marsa Alam (40 km). This place is ideal because of its Housereef, 2 km long, made up of North and South reefs which join to form a natural bay with a sandy slope going down from 1 to 10 m first, then continuing to the outer drop-offs, at 40m deep. To dive there, you can take an unlimited diving package each, with your buddy. You first do two guided orientation dives on arrival, then you dive without a guide, within the limits of your prerogatives and according to the package you have chosen. The administrative office is open from 8 am to 5 pm but it is possible to dive from 6 am to 8 pm. Zodiacs moored at the jetty can be used to explore the outer dive sites (at an extra charge). An air-conditioned classroom with a flat-screen TV is available for training, unless you choose the PADI eLearning course solution, allowing you to enjoy your diving holidays more! Bring thick-soled slippers with adjustable fins to go diving from the shore, otherwise, you'll have to rent them on site! From here, we leave early morning to Elphinstone in a fast semi-rigid boat. We leave for the reefs of Satayah from the port of Hamata (navigation 2 hours) or by speed boat from Wadi Lahami (navigation 45 minutes). You can also reach Shaab Samadai, a marine park where you can swim with dolphins in the wild, in 30 minutes by car and then in 20 minutes by zodiac. A hyperbaric center is located on-site within the village of Marsa Shagra. Each diver must pay the mandatory insurance of 7 euros for the duration of the stay (does not cover hospitalization or transportation).
