Who we are

DivingAway is a concept born in the minds of three women, from the same family, the mother, and the two daughters, passionate about diving and traveling. The objective was to guide all people, beginners or experts, wishing to know when and where to dive according to the seasonality of marine species, the best period to discover the diving areas and the most beautiful wrecks in the world. We also wanted to highlight all forms of diving: snorkeling, freediving, scuba diving, and tec diving.

But finding the best diving center also depends on the diver's profile, whether you are a family, a group, or an individual. From the search for a specific marine species to a training course, a safari, or a stay in a diving resort, we have added search filters so that each diver can live the Underwater Adventure that suits him or her. Imagined in 2017, DivingAway would not have been possible without the support of all the people who helped us and supported us in this crazy adventure. We thank them infinitely. Please do not hesitate to share your expectations and comments with us!

Passionate about scuba diving and swimming with fins for more than 30 years, I passed my French state certification in Antibes and my PADI instructor certification in Cannes. Very quickly, I decided to live from my passion for the sea and travel.
For 10 years I managed a diving center on the Cap d'Antibes, then I worked for Le Routard and Le Petit Futé as a freelancer, in charge of finding diving centers and accommodations adapted to the French-speaking clientele in the Caribbean area, New Caledonia, Egypt, Jordan, and Israel.
I fell in love with one of the best diving spots in the world: Egypt. In charge of diving cruises for Dune Diving Center in Safaga, I have been in charge of logistics and reservations for 5 great years.
The seeds sown along my journey have made the idea of DivingAway germinate.
From thinking about it to putting the platform online, I have been committed to providing the right tool for divers and professionals in the field.

My most beautiful diving memories:
. The discovery of sexy shrimps, wobbegong, and walking sharks in an exceptional exuberance of hard corals and king corals at Raja Ampat in Indonesia.
. The flight of a manta ray above my head in the Maldives.
. The deck of the wreck Rosalie Moller, in Egypt
. The bow spiked with sumptuous gorgonian fans from the Togo wreck in Cavalaire, France.

In love with nature, I have been diving since I was very young; supporting my mother in the DivingAway adventure was an obvious choice!
I spent my divemaster in Egypt and had the chance to dip my fins in Indonesian, Malagasy, and Mediterranean waters.

Applying my hotel expertise concerning booking platforms, financial management, and marketing came spontaneously.

My most beautiful memories of diving :
. Contemplating sharks during a magnificent dive at a depth of 5m, in Egypt.
. The discovery of a pygmy seahorse during a dive in the Togian Islands, North Sulawesi.
. A beautiful encounter with humpback whales accompanied by their calves, snorkeling off Nosy Be, Madagascar.

Océane Kolau

As the youngest of the trio, I blew my first bubbles at Cap d'Antibes on my mother's second regulator. Certified Divemaster in Mexico and PADI Instructor in Thailand, I pursued my graduate studies and gradually specialized in digital.

So I naturally joined the family adventure, from the creation to the online launch of DivingAway, with the constant concern for the user experience and SEO in mind.

My most beautiful memories of diving:
. The feeling of diving on another planet inside the Angelita Cenote in Tulum, Mexico.
. A magnificent snorkeling encounter with whale sharks off Isla Mujeres in Mexico.
. A fun dive embellished by the presence of a small turtle and a familiar dolphin in the bay of Safaga, in Egypt.
