Information
A diving trip to Malta allows you to discover the wreck of the Bristol Blenheim, a twin-engine light bomber plane, 13 m long and 17.2 m wide. Built by the Bristol Airplane Company, this aircraft dating from the Second World War served in the British Royal Air Force, carrying a crew of three. On December 13, 1941, it was on a mission in Kefalonia, Greece when it was attacked en route by an enemy Italian aircraft.
The engine was hit and the plane flew to Malta, but the pilot eventually abandoned it at sea on the way. The wreck is located 500 m off Xrobb l-Ghagin, on the east coast of Malta, at a depth of 42 m, on a sandy bottom and small reefs. To see wings, engines, a propeller. The aft fuselage is broken and is some distance in front of the wreck. Currents often prove to be established here. This is a deep dive for experienced divers only.
