Admire the North Wall drop off at 1800 meters and teeming with purple, yellow, brown, elephant ear, rope, barrel-shaped sponges with orange gorgonians.Walkthrough the tunnels and caves, at Devil's Grotto and Eden Rock, accessible from the beach, as well as at West Wall, much appreciated by photographers for their luminosity.

At Sunset Reef lies the LCM Nicholson wreck, as well as a 3m high bronze mermaid, 15m high, accessible from the shore.Close to Georgetown harbor, the wrecks The Balboa, 12m deep, and The Cali at 5m, are a delight for snorkelers and beginners. Also visit the wrecks The Oro Verde and The USS Kittiwake, sunk at 22m, which have become artificial reefs.Cayman Brac is a tranquil island with more than 65 sites including the shallow Elkhorn Forest, where finger and elkhorn coral explode with vitality, along with snappers and angelfish. Also, visit the beautiful 100m long Captain Keith Tibbetts wreck.

Little Cayman, a true iguana sanctuary, is surrounded by beautiful secluded beaches, lagoons, and mangroves protected by the Bloody Bay Marine Park.

Best dive season

Diving in the Cayman Islands is great all year round, with water temperatures ranging from 25° to 28°C and visibility ranging from 18 to 30 meters. Rain showers occur from May to October. The hurricane season is from June to October in the Caribbean. The best time to travel to the Cayman Islands is from November to April.

Other activities

Northwest of Grand Cayman, visit the Green Turtle Farm. At Cayman Brac it is possible to make nice hikes. In Petit Cayman, go bird-watching in the Booby Pond nature reserve.
