Scuba diving La Reunion

The Gecko Bleu diving school is located in the port of St Gilles, Reunion Island. It is a small structure-based along the west coast of the island. Appointments for sea departures take place at 8.30 am and 11 am in the port of St Gilles, at the Jet Ski premises, next to the restaurant La Voile Blanche. Nearby, many dive sites are accessible to all levels of divers. The Gecko Bleu training school offers first dives and PADI and ANMP courses ranging from Scuba Diver to Master Scuba Diver. Several species of dolphins, as well as humpback whales, live in this area from July to October. Greg, the owner, is passionate about the sea and willingly shares his experience in diving and swimming with cetaceans. He offers snorkeling trips of 3 hours duration, supervised by professionals. These snorkeling trips are organized for 5 to 10 participants and children are accepted from 8 years old. Greg also has a handisport license to welcome disabled people. He also educates divers, snorkelers and snorkelers about the environment by training eco-divers in partnership with Reefcheck. The Corail Plongée centre is located in the port of St-Gilles, on the island of Reunion. All year round, the instructors welcome you every day from 7.30 am to 6 pm, and until 11.30 am on Sundays. And the atmosphere is always fun! The facilities include showers, toilets, an air-conditioned classroom with videos, whiteboards and flipcharts, and a library stocked with bio books. About fifty complete sets of equipment are available for hire, including equipment for children with 10 L blocks. Embark on two speedboats with a capacity of 20 divers each. The Plongée Salée center is located near the Bassin Pirogue boarding pontoon, in Etang Salé, on the west coast of Reunion Island. Open every day at 8.15 am and 1.15 pm, the facilities of the Plongée Salée club, located in a pretty tropical garden, include showers, toilets, an equipment rinsing area, and a classroom equipped with audio-visual material. Equipped with buffer tanks, the filling station quickly fills the steel blocks from 6L for children to 15L for the big air consumers. Diving equipment can be purchased on-site. Meet on the terrace to listen to the briefing and fill in the logbooks over a coffee. The swimming pool is a place to learn and rehearse technical skills to familiarise yourself with the equipment and to learn how to breathe through a regulator. This rehearsal before going out to sea allows you to go out on the boat with confidence. Ideal for a baptism before diving on the Petit Tombant plateau. Go exploring with passionate instructors on board a 7.50 m long semi-rigid boat, moored to the pontoon a few meters from the premises. Rental equipment, regularly maintained, is available. It is possible to hire a guide. The dives take place in the Natural Marine Reserve of Reunion Island protecting the coral reef. The Plongée Salée training center offers courses for beginners SSI Scuba Diver up to divemaster level. Specialty packages including two to four dives are available for those who want to learn more. The diving centre le Dodo Palmé is located in Le Port, north of Saint-Gilles on the west coast of Reunion Island. Take advantage of a beautiful and vast infrastructure with changing rooms, showers, toilets, a classroom, a nitrox inflation room, a shop to buy equipment, bar. Parking spaces allow you to park and unload your equipment more easily. A BBQ area allows you to have a good time after the dives. Because here, conviviality is the rule. Regular snorkelling trips are offered, depending on the season. From July to October, don't miss the dolphin and whale watching and swimming trips. This large exploration area allows you to go to sites less frequented by other boats, take refuge in appropriate corners according to the weather, to enjoy yourself according to the mood of the moment! The Excelsus Diving Centre is located at the Pointe des Châteaux in Saint-Leu along the west coast of Reunion Island, and welcomes you 7 days a week for trips at 8am and 1pm. Ideally located in the heart of the Marine Reserve of Reunion Island, you will discover one of the most beautiful coral reefs of Reunion Island by scuba diving or snorkeling. Very popular, Excelsus Plongée has been in existence for about thirty years, so many divers return faithfully. Bought back in 2010, the infrastructure of Excelsus Plongée has been renovated, including the filling station which also offers Nitrox at the price of air. Children's diving, from the age of 8, allows young people to learn about the preservation of the marine environment. First dives or Basic Diver courses are offered. For those who persevere, SSI and ANMP training courses are offered.
