Daroyen Village is located east of the village of Sawinggrai on the south shore of Gam Island. It is accessible from Sorong on the Papua New Guinea side of Indonesia. The dive sites of the Dampier Strait, such as Cape Kri, Mioskon, Manta Sandy, Jetty Yenbuba, Sardine reef, Saondarek, Blue Magic, are just a few minutes away by boat. Festival of manta rays, humpback parrots, schools of dense jacks, turtles and Wobbegong, carpet sharks. Divers observe some of the most diverse marine ecosystems in Indonesia. Just in front of Daroyen Village, there is a protected area with the house reef. This Raja Ampat diving resort offers the feeling of being at the end of the world, far from the hectic modern life. Raja Ampat Biodiversity is an Eco Resort located on Gam Island, in the middle of the Dampier Strait, a short distance from Sorong. You reach Raja Ampat by an internal flight to Sorong, then you board a boat to Wasai and finally to Gam. These cottages are scattered along the beach and are very integrated in the environment. They have been built by local craftsmen using sustainable materials. The Papuan architecture, revealed by the handcrafted furniture and decoration, is full of ingenuity with an air circuit that allows it to circulate freely and avoids air conditioning. A hammock and deckchairs decorate each terrace. Misool Eco Resort is located on a private island, Batbitim, south of Sorong, Indonesia. Misool Island, a former shark fishing camp, has become a marine reserve! Arriving in Sorong the day before your stay, you are transferred in 4 to 5 hours with the speed boat to Batbitim. Passing through the Salawati archipelago, Misool is located 165 km from the nearest port and 20 km from the first village, in the very heart of the world's largest marine biodiversity. This haven of serenity is eco-responsible, created with recuperated wood, without cutting down trees, practicing waste recycling, and with a locally-based staff.
